Software

A set of instructions, encoded as a pattern, that directs a machine's operations. Labor and intellect create software, and it has value through what it enables. Like all patterns, agents can copy it without diminishing the original. Its creator may offer it through voluntary License agreements that specify terms of use, or release it freely. Software on your own machine is yours to run. Software obtained through deception or in violation of a voluntary License creates a victim through Fraud, or through use the License never transferred.
