Welcome, Judaism
“What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour. That is the whole Torah; the rest is commentary.”
— Hillel the Elder, Talmud, Shabbat 31a
Hillel stated the passive Golden Rule two thousand years ago and called it the whole of the Torah. The Ultimate Law agrees: this one principle, combined with logic, is sufficient. Everything else is explanation. Judaism understood this before anyone wrote it down as law.
The Ultimate Law
Logic is the supreme rule. No authority, tradition, feeling, or majority overrides a valid logical argument.
The passive Golden Rule: do not do to others what they would not want done to them.
When this rule is broken, the victim’s right to justice — restitution or forgiveness — is sovereign.
No victim, no crime. No contradiction, no law.
