Welcome, Cheondoism

“To serve a person is to serve Heaven.”

— Choe Si Hyong, Donghak doctrine

Cheondoism teaches that every person carries the divine within them — Innaecheon, “man is heaven.” If God is within every person, then harming another is not merely a social offence but a violation of the sacred. The Ultimate Law arrives at the same conclusion without the theology: every agent’s boundary is sovereign, and crossing it without consent creates a victim. Cheondoism rejects otherworldly salvation in favour of building paradise on earth through moral action — the same practical focus the Ultimate Law demands.

The Ultimate Law

Logic is the supreme rule. No authority, tradition, feeling, or majority overrides a valid logical argument.

The passive Golden Rule: do not do to others what they would not want done to them.

When this rule is broken, the victim’s right to justice — restitution or forgiveness — is sovereign.

No victim, no crime. No contradiction, no law.
