Software

Software is a group of instructions, in the code of a pattern, that gives direction to the operations of a machine. Labor and intellect make software, and software has value through the things that it makes possible. Like all patterns, agents can copy software, and the original loses no thing. The maker of software can give it through voluntary License agreements that specify the terms of use, or the maker can release it freely. Software on your own machine is yours: you can operate it. Software that a person got through deception, or in violation of a voluntary License, makes a victim, through Contract Breach or Fraud.
