Ownership

The relationship between an agent and a scarce thing over which they hold the exclusive right of control. It begins with the body, under Self-Ownership, and reaches other things in only two ways: first use of something no one owned, or voluntary transfer from a prior owner. Creating a thing does not create ownership. Shaping what you own leaves it yours; shaping what another owns leaves it theirs, whatever labor you added. Ownership gives exclusive control, and it binds everyone else to keep out unless the owner consents.
